Welcome to my site.
This site contains samples of my work as a filmmaker and videographer. Plus a random selection of my favorite 35mm stills (like this one of Venice). I’m always eager to explore new ways to bring stories to life on screen and make images look their best.
I have a special love for documentary work, especially documentaries that tell stories about people on society’s margins.
I look forward to sharing more stories with you.
About Kevin
Kevin Jackson is a filmmaker based in New York City. After graduating from Georgetown University in 2019, he began his career with America Magazine, where he went on to manage the company’s in-house studio productions, learning to operate and maintain complex studio configurations for multi-camera video productions.
While working at America, Kevin was invited to explore the production of documentaries for the company’s YouTube channel, which became his passion. In 2021, he was the assistant director of a short documentary about a Black Catholic parish in Cleveland, Ohio, which won the Catholic Media Association’s award for “Best Freestanding Presentation of Online Video.” He was a co-producer of the company’s first feature-length documentary, “People of God” (2022), which received praise from Catholic bishops and leaders throughout the country for its representation of the variety of Catholic experience in the U.S.
Kevin transitioned to freelance work in June 2023 and shortly thereafter produced his first narrative short, “The Allegory”. He currently has a feature-length documentary, “The Monk,” in production, and is in post-production on a short documentary about an annual Christmas lunch for the homeless population of New York City.
Kevin has a particular interest in stories that deal with Christianity and how faith informs ordinary people’s lives in a changing world. He seeks the stories of individuals or groups that live an authentic faith while defying or upending religious stereotypes.
